1. Constable (Tradesman) (Male only): 561 Nos.
Trade wise vacancies:-
- Constable (Cobbler): 67 posts.
- Constable (Tailor): 28 posts.
- Constable (Carpenter): 02 posts.
- Constable (Draughtsman): 01 post.
- Constable (Painter): 05 posts.
- Constable (Cook): 140 posts.
- Constable (Water Carrier): 49 posts.
- Constable (Washer Man): 49 posts.
- Constable (Barber): 42 posts.
- Constable (Sweeper): 147 posts.
- Constable (Waiter): 24 posts.
- Constable (Mali): 01 post.
- Constable (Khoji): 06 posts.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation/ Madhyamik pass from a recognized board AND 02 years work experience in respective trades OR 01 year certificate course from ITI of Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade OR 02 years Diploma from ITI in the trade or similar trade.
Age Limit: Between 18yrs to 23yrs as on 01/08/2016
Pay Scale: Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2000/- plus other allowances as per norms.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standard:
- Height: 167.5 cms (162.5 cms for ST)
- Chest (unexpanded/ expanded): 78cms/ 83cms (76cms/ 81cms for ST candidates)
- Weight: Proportionate to height as per medical standard.
For cut-off in physical standards in case of candidates from Hill areas and Candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Laddakh regions of J&K, please refer the advt. link given below.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high color vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties
The posts are on temporary basis but likely to continue.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Physical Standards Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – 5kms race to be completed within 24 minutes, Documentation verification, Trade Test and Written Test. Finally there will be Medical Examination.
